F.A.Q*
Who is welcome in this roleplay?[/u]
Anyone, this is a freestyle roleplay. You are more then welcome to play a werewolf of the Blaidd Drwg clan or a witch from the family with permission. But its not necessary, the Hartwells and Blaidd Drwg understand that there are several other types of supernaturals, some similar to them and some are not. Ghosts, vampires, wizards, fairies, are all welcome.
What kind of roleplay is Hartwell Manor?[/u]
This is a modern dark-fantasy roleplay. But remember that, most if not all supernaturals, prefer to keep themselves hidden from the mortal eye. And those that inhabit the estate are no different, they would not like their lives jeopardize by sudden fear and panic from the mortals around them. For the most part, the roleplay is freestyle while system characters are allowed if they fit the theme and mood, we don't recognize stats.
What kind of stories and themes does the room deal with?[/u]
The storylines will vary from character to character. There is not yet an overarching storyline, one may develop but the setting it is to allow others to create their own stories. But it should be understood that this room is for those of mature understanding.
What does that mean mature understanding?[/u]
That adult themes will be accepted in this room and settings. Adult themes means more then just sex and violence but with emotions and drama that might fall into the category of a dark modern roleplay. If you are not old enough to handle such themes then stay out of the room. Just so it's understood, there will be no gratuitous sex scenes and gore should be kept to manageable levels.
OOC and IC?[/u]
Should be kept separate and will be. Minimal ooc is allowed in the room as long as it's not overly disrupting of the roleplay. Just use a little common sense, if there seems to be an important event occurring in the room, try not to suddenly pop in out of character and start talking about something totally irrelevant. Please just show a little respect.
Is fighting and killing allowed in the room?[/u]
Everything dies. People, supernatural, or not they can die. Just remember your character will be held responsible for whatever actions they take. When killing is concerned, there will be no one post kills and it must be agreed on by both players out of character first.
How do I become a member of the Hartwell Coven or Blaidd Drwg?*
Simply submit a character if they already involved within the family, already a werewolf, witch or mortal relative. I will check the board often so gaining approval will not be a lengthy wait. Or you can roleplay it out by meeting with the respective leaders of coven and clan.
How do characters affect the setting?
All characters, within reason can affect the setting. Massive vandalism may happen but as stated before your character WILL be held responsible. And remember the manor and the land itself is deeply connected to the family, I would hate to have a angry crowd of wolves and witches on me if I decided to try and burn down the Manor. Which might prove difficult, they do not leave their home unprotected and there is all types of wards on the Manor.
Can I play a werewolf/witch hybrid?[/u]
Eh...No. Well, not of the Hartwell/Blaidd Drwg bloodline, you are one or the other. I feel a character that had powers of both would be too powerful and not very balanced for the setting itself. Also, for any vampire-player's curiosity if either a Blaidd Drwg or Hartwell get embraced they forfeit all their previous powers.
*The F.A.Q can and may change as situations arise and are addressed.
**Yes, this is a revitalized, reworked idea of the original Hartwell Manor. If anyone remembers the room and the characters within. Those who played Hartwell characters and are interested in playing them again, please resubmit them or speak to me personally.
